Emma Knew Reading Could Be Fun
When Emma started vision therapy she cried that it was too hard, and on the last day she cried that it was over!
Dear Dr. Gallaway and Miss Debbie,
I don’t even know where to begin with changes we’ve seen in the past year. A year ago Emma struggled in every area of school and her self-esteem was greatly affected. We finished vision therapy in August and I can’t believe how much better this school year is!
Last year she could not read word problems in math and struggled with her written math work because the numbers were so small and this year she is asking to do more lessons each day. She just started a chapter book – not because she had to but because she wants to. She said she never knew reading could be so much fun and she wants to start a book club with friends! Last year in third grade I could barely get her to read a kindergarten level book!
When we started vision therapy she cried that it was too hard and on the last day she cried that it was over! She loves Miss Debbie and Dr. Gallaway and is proud of her own progress. I can honestly say vision therapy has changed our lives! I cannot imagine what life would be had we not done it.
