College Student Attributes Academic Excellence to Vision Therapy as a Child

Dear Dr Gallaway,

My son Joshua came to vision therapy at your office about nine years ago. At the time he was struggling with schoolwork and I was almost ready to quit homeschooling him. Within a few weeks of starting vision therapy, his grades improved unbelievably. He went from getting half, or more than half, of his math problems wrong on a regular basis to getting over 90% correct. I thought you might be interested in an update on Josh since leaving vision therapy.

Josh graduated two years ago with seven APs (six of them were “5” and one “4”) and an SAT score of 2340. He received numerous scholarship offers at all universities that he applied to. He decided to go to Rutgers University on their Presidential Scholarship. He has maintained a 4.0 there while doing classes like Honors Calculus. I felt that it did take him longer to catch up academically on the English side and he had to work particularly hard in bringing his vocabulary up to where he wanted it to be, but over on the math side he never looked back.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team because without vision therapy he would not be where he is today.
